Paver Patio Rebuild with Proper Edging Wall and Limestone Base

Most patio problems you can see above ground started failing long before that. Heaving pavers, shifting edging, sections that rock when you step on them - that's all foundation work coming back to haunt you. That was exactly the situation here. The patio looked okay at a glance, but the base underneath had broken down to the point where the edging wall was no longer doing its job.

We tore it out and started fresh. The edging wall got rebuilt the right way - set on a proper limestone base that gives it something solid to sit on long-term. Then we backfilled everything correctly before reinstalling the pavers. That step matters more than most people realize. Skip it or rush it, and you're back in the same situation in a few years.

What you end up with after doing it right is a patio that holds its shape. The curved edging wall sits flush and tight all the way around. The paver field is stable and level. The whole thing looks intentional again - not like something that's slowly losing the battle against the ground underneath it.
